A variety of sporting and leisure activities are available throughout the area.

St. Farnans GAA club have teams playing at every level from U-10 to up to Intermediate Level and Ladies GAA have teams at U-12, U-14 and U-16 level. A full programme of training, challenge games and competitions starts in early Feb each year.

Dromore Villa Soccer Club have teams at underage up to adult level. Many of the youth of the area would play both games. Both the GAA and Soccer Club use St. Farnans Community Park.

Basketball is played at the Community Centre over the Winter Months. A full sized newly refurbished Tennis Court is also available at the Community Centre.

Fishing is carried out along the Easkey River and also the Dunneil River while some anglers also fish on Lough Easkey (a lake located between Dromore West and Tubbercurry), while others fish out at sea.

Game shooting in the are is promoted by West Sligo Gun Club.

Leisurely walks can also be enjoyed around the village, on the new riverside walk and along any of the quiet country roads.
