In
1999 the Community Council decided to mark
the new millennium. It was agreed that a
rock be placed at a focal point in the village.
The rock was taken from Gleneaskey. A eucenemical
service was held at twelve midnight to mark
the new millennium. This was followed by
an open air concert held on the street and
approx. 1000 people attended.
