Templeboy is beautifully situated between the Ox Mountains and the Atlantic with panoramic views of both Knocknarea and Benbulben as a backdrop. Under an hours' drive from both Sligo and Knock airports, Templeboy makes an ideal base for touring the North West. There are several self catering houses available and 2 guesthouses, both within walking distance of the ever-popular and authentic old world Beach Bar / Restaurant at Aughris. This gem offers entertainment in high season and provides the perfect way to end the day.

Further along this coast road you will note road signs for Aughris Head, which is a promontory in the parish of Templeboy.

Aughris is steeped in history and culture with remnants providing testament to a much and varied history.

Remaining largely untouched, Aughris has a unique and rugged coastline. As well as our local beach, a short stroll will take you to the beautiful expanse of sand at Dunmorran beach. There are several different walkways to choose from, all with breath-taking views.

Aughris Head provides incredible views while the fishing is a must for the angling enthusiasts. For the more adventurous, Aughris is extremely popular with surfers.
