Approval had been granted for a Family Resource Centre in Easkey.
Easkey Community Family Resource Ltd was set up in 2004 with the support of Easkey Community Council. The Department of Social and Family Affairs through the Family Support Agency fund this Centre. The programme will be for a three-year period initially.

The project is intended to help to develop Local Community Resources to the families living in the Easkey/West Sligo area during which time services to various sections of the community will be developed in conjunction with a local management group.

In December 2004 A Board of Management was set up and interviews were held for the position of Coordinator. Mr Pat Hegarty secured the post. Pat is based in Easkey House. Tel 096 49088.
