EASKEY HERITAGE CENTRE

The Heritage Centre beside the entrance to the community centre will be opening shortly. The interior has been completely refurbished and restored to its traditional design. The Heritage and Genealogy Society are currently completing the displays. We would like to have more artifacts of the parish of Easkey; photographs, small items of any kind appropriate to the period. There are a range of programs available for everyone on most days of the week.

A new parent toddler group has started at the Little Steps Playgroup Easkey.

PROPOSED CARAVAN PARK
The community are working hard to provide the community with a caravan park. They have applied for planning permission, and feasibility is almost complete. We are hoping that this facility will be ready for the tourist season in 2012.

Easkey Community Council. – Easkey Tidy Towns would like to thank the Residants Rural Social Scheme and FAS. As a combined effort we were awarded 5 extra points this year.

ALBUM LAUNCH
Brenda Reilly Easkey is holding a launch of her new album A New Dawn in aid of the Irish Cancer Society in The Mercantile Bar, Dame Street, Dublin on Sunday October 9th at 8pm. This is her second album released for charity. Brenda’s debut album ‘My Time’ was in aid of Cancer Care West, Galway. Admission is €12 which includes a copy of the album which features Brenda, fellow musicians, The Flaws, Tupelo, Senekah and Brian Kennedy.
